Sharing in birth is my deepest honor. At the moment of birth, families are made and the most sacred of veils is lifted. I'm dedicated to preserving that moment.

NICOLE'S STORY & COMMITMENT

Dear Birth Friend,

Thank you for considering me as your midwife for your pregnancy care. Likely,  you’ll be hearing lots of stories from well-meaning people about all the “wonders of birth.” For myself, my first impressions of birth emerged from positive and vivid family traditions told by my mother and grand-memere. These narratives seeded a healthy curiosity mingled with the powerful message, “When your time comes, you’ll be okay because all women are designed to give birth. And, God will be with you.”

Beginning in 1998, I’ve had the distinguished privilege serving women and families during their childbearing years as a doula. Those experiences have allowed me to witness the wide landscape of pregnancy and birth: from the most “buttery”, triumphant victories, high-risk pregnancies, unplanned surgeries, and goodbyes. My own family has been blessed with four children and each of their stories included truths and wonders I carry into my care. These moments, at the veil between two worlds, continue to shape my heart and hands in serving birthing families.

I obtained my degree in Midwifery through The College of Traditional Midwifery and hold certifications from Commonsense Childbirth Inc. as a doula, childbirth and lactation educator. I’m a native of Orlando, Florida. After marrying my husband, David, we raised sheep, goats, and our own ‘kids’ in Colorado for over a decade. Eventually, we became Alabamians in 2017. I thoroughly enjoy music, diving into history, cooking for holidays and exploring cultures. It is my deepest hope that our time together prepares you far beyond your own pregnancy and birth journey.

Blessings of the womb, breasts, and health be yours!

Wholeheartedly,

Nicole M Yingling, CM, LM
