My Birth Friend Believes...
Childbirth is a transformative journey ~ impacting our soul, affirming & challenging our deepest beliefs. 

A healthy pregnancy, birth, & postpartum is the normal experience. Birth is not an inherent emergency. 

This emotional, social, physical, & spiritual passage is best shepherded by welcomed, wise, caring, & supportive evidence-based & skilled birth attendants. 
Anyone attending a birth is a mere guest within a sacred space.
Ultimately, mothers & fathers are entrusted with the responsibility for the health & well-being of their children. 

I don't deliver babies. Mothers birth babies. And, sometimes, I catch a baby. But, truely, it is God who delivers babies.
